Celebrating our history

On Friday 1 September 1922, a meeting was held in the Yass Mechanical institute (Dr Burn's offices). The objective of the meeting was the decision to form a Scout Troop in Yass. At the time, eleven locate boys signified their willingness to join. Mr Ffrench agreed to take up the role as Scoutmaster for Yass.

On Monday 5 February 1923, the first meeting of Yass Cub Scout took place in Yass

When the group started meetings where held in the old Drill Hall that was moved from Walker Park to the Showground.  Sadly, the building was demolished in the last few years.
