We built lots of cool things and had a look inside some robots and other things

Making the Brush that ran around the floor was fun. 

We got to use some different tools and learnt about different components.

What is Amateur Radio?
 Welcome to the activity of Amateur Radio, a multifaceted and easy to learn communications hobby, through which you can meet other like-minded people and have fun.
It has become very diverse and is shared by three million people throughout the world. It almost entirely involves the radio transmission communication between radio amateurs by voice, digital techniques, Morse code, pictures and video signals.
​Amateur Radio has kept up with the times to remain an enjoyable leisure time activity. Solid-state equipment adopting the latest technology has replaced its bulky predecessors. At the same time it has never been more accessible for the individual, male and female of all abilities, young or not so young, family members or workmates.

Jamboree of the AIR 2017

 JOTA-JOTI is the largest Scouting and Guiding event in the world
In 2014 over 1.3 million Scouts and Guides participated across 157 countries.
In 2017 JOTA celebrated 60th on the Air with over 160 countries 

It is held on the third weekend of October. Activities are done either using Amateur or ham radio (JOTA) or over the internet (JOTI). 
This is JOTA 2017!
At this event, we talked to scouts on a global range. We also made things like a machine that can do Morse code. We had a ton of fun and learnt tons of things. - by Emily (a scout)
